Changing to healthier diet needn’t mean you miss out on the good things in life

You’ve embarked on a diet – and have even discovered some exciting new recipes – but what about wine? According to doctors, a little bit of what you fancy does you good, so much so that heart attack patients in hospitals were given two glasses a day during their stay. It’s also a great stress reliever, helping you unwind at the end of a busy day. The secret is moderation – but by drinking less you can afford a few special bottles and expand your wine horizons.

People who misuse alcohol not only suffer from many illnesses but drive them earlier to their graves. Moderation is the key word here when it comes to food and drink.

  1. I've totally changed the way I eat and not to lose weight but to lower my cholesterol and I lost some weight in the process which is also a good thing right? I cut out salt, fried foods and anything with fat in it. I read the labels on everything. I lost 10 pounds in 3 months. As for wine yes, one glass a day won't hurt you and is good for you. Moderation is definitely the secret to eating and drinking.

  2. I think moderation in all you do in life is a great recipe for long living. Yes I know for fact that many europeans drink wine in every meal and they look good to me. Also it all depends of the body of the person.

  5. I believe that eating all sorts of food in little amount is healthy. It is much better than fasting and trying to do away without particular foods. I do believe that dieting does not mean doing away without good things in life. Alcohol if used moderately can do good to health as well.
